The Gardner-Webb University Running Club is working with the Town of Boiling Springs and the
Broad River Greenway to host a trail run on March 20, 2004 at the
Greenway. The name of the event is the Race for Recycling.
The event on the 20th of March will kick off with a one mile kids fun run. The event is open for kids 12 under. In order to provide a healthy activity for a wide range of people a 1.5 mile walk is scheduled to take place. The final event is the 5-mile run.
The purpose of the event is to help raise money for recycling at Gardner-Webb University, promote the Greenway, and raise funds for future events at the Greenway.
